Professor Schäfer is a partner of the CRF project “Making Modernity in East Asia: Technologies of Everyday Life 19th – 21st Centuries”. During her visit to the Institute in 2018 spring semester, Professor Schäfer co-taught a research seminar course “East Asian Medicine, Science and Technology Cultures of Innovation in East Asia’s History: with a Focus on Scientific, Medical and Technological Change” with Professor Angela Ki Che Leung.
