The CRF MMEA Project hosted a preview of the exhibition “Infrastructure Imagination: Hong Kong City Futures, 1972–1988” on December 7, 2017. The exhibition, which was officially held at the City Gallery, Hong Kong from March to May 2018, was curated by Project Collaborator Ms. Dorothy Tang (MIT), Dr. Cecilia Chu (Architecture, HKU) and her team. The exhibition wanted to revisit infrastructure projects in Hong Kong from the last four decades. It featured photographs from the Heather Coulson Photograph Collection, which had been donated to the HKU Libraries by Heather Coulson, a construction photographer working in Hong Kong from the early 1970s to the late 1980s. It weaved together personal stories, historic films, oral histories from professional and community members, and archival records that documented the construction boom in Hong Kong in the last quarter of the 20th century.
