2017 - 2019 REPORT
Signature Research Clusters
Overview
The Institute has strategically leveraged public and private funds to drive basic research that has policy and community relevance. In 2013, the Institute re-organized existing research clusters to reinforce an Inter-Asian agenda. The new groups are Science, Technology and Medicine in Asian Societies (STMS), Hubs, Mobilities and the Asian Urban (HMAU), and Asian Religious Connections (ARC) (formerly known as “Rethinking Spirituality and Religion in Asia”). In addition to organizing regular seminars and lectures (see Academic Events), the research clusters and CRF Projects have continued to deliver research output in the form of high-impact research-based events (e.g. conferences, workshops, and forums) and collaborative publications.
