Joint Professorships

To further boost our research capacity, the Institute has collaborated with the Faculties of Arts, Social Sciences, and Business and Economics on establishing joint professorships: Dr. Ji Li (with Arts since 2016), Dr. David A. Palmer (with Social Sciences since 2018), Prof. James Kai-sing Kung (with Business and Economics from 2019), and Dr. John D. Wong (with Arts from 2020). We also launched a global search for a tenure-track assistant professor in spring 2018, subsequently recruiting Dr. Ghassan Moazzin, a Cambridge PhD in History, who has been on board since summer of 2019, and will work closely with the History Department of Faculty of Arts.
