      Overview

      Tang Yitong is MPhil student at the Hong Kong Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences. His study focuses on the archaeology of settlement patterns in early China. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Chinese University of Hong Kong. Before joining HKIHSS, he worked as Research Assistant at The University of Hong Kong working on research about Early China Archaeology database.

      Under the supervision of Professor Su Xin and Professor Chen Zhiwu, his MPhil thesis examines the transformation of ancient Chinese settlements from Xia to Eastern Zhou dynasties. His research explores how political power influences human-environment interactions throughout that period.
