DOROTHY KO 高彦頤
Honorary Professor, Visiting Professor (Sep – Dec 2015), Hong Kong Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences, The University of Hong Kong
Professor of History, Barnard College, Columbia University
During Professor Ko’s visit in 2015, she organized a postgraduate seminar course “Technology, Medicine, Body” and delivered a distinguished lecture on “The Female Artisan: Gu Erniang and the Craft of Inkstone-Making in the Early Qing”. Professor Ko bridges the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures, the Center for Science and Society of Columbia University and the Institute, she continues cultivating visiting opportunities for HKU postgraduate students after returning to Columbia University.
