Andrew Sinclair is an assistant professor of finance at HKU Business School.  He received his Ph.D. degree in financial economics at Yale University, and also holds a master’s degree in finance at the University of Waterloo and a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science at the University of Toronto. His research studies financial intermediation, asset management, and China’s financial system. He is also a collaborator of RGC’s Area of Excellence (AoE) project Quantitative History of China. He is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance at Caltech where he teaches a course called "Understanding China through Finance”.
