OVERVIEW

The Institute is one of the independent research units at The University of Hong Kong. Administratively it reports directly to the Vice-Chancellor’s Office. The Director consults the Vice-President and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research) on major development issues of the Institute.

THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

At the core of the Institute’s governance is an Executive Committee. Members are senior academics and professionals positioned in Hong Kong, China and overseas. It meets bi-annually to review the mission of the Institute, endorse programme proposals and budgets, and discuss its institutional development.

THE ADVISORY BOARD

An Advisory Board whose members are drawn from disciplines and institutions around the globe offers another valuable layer of experience and exposure. The Institute consults individual advisors on programmes development related to their expertise.
