Hilman Latief is a lecturer in the School of Islamic Studies at the Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta-Indonesia. He graduated from the State Institute of Islamic studies Sunan Kalijaga-Yogyakarta (1999) and earned his M.A. (Comparative Religion) from the Centre for Religion and Cross Cultural Studies, Gadjah Mada University (2003) and the Department of Comparative Religion, Western Michigan University (2005).
