      Vincent So 蘇漢邦

      Adjunct Associate Professor for the Master of Family Wealth Management programme

      Overview

      Vincent has over thirty years of experience in the Asia Pacific finance industry. He started his career in investment banking before transitioning into private credit investing. Prior to his finance career, Vincent trained as an engineer, specialising in power generation and aircraft maintenance. He now engages across a broad spectrum of finance activities, including private markets, digital assets, and family wealth management.

      Currently, Vincent is a senior partner at Merit Asset Management and serves as a senior advisor to Tower Capital Asia. In his previous role at BlackRock, he was a managing director leading private markets distribution across Greater China. He has also held senior roles at Abraaj and Fosun. Earlier, Vincent was a director at ICG Asia Pacific, where he established the firm’s regional headquarters in Hong Kong and played a pioneering role in private credit investing throughout the region. His finance career began at Barclays Capital’s Asian investment banking division.

      Beyond finance, Vincent is dedicated to advancing endowment and education. He holds several positions with the English Schools Foundation (ESF), including Board Director of ESF Investments, member of the ESF Endowment Investment Committee, and Chair of the School Council at ESF Peak School. In addition, he is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong’s Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences, where he teaches private markets in the Master of Family Wealth Management program.

      Vincent holds both a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in management from Imperial College London. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
