      Abstract

Family offices are not a one-size-fits-all solution. Their structure and strategy are deeply influenced by two powerful forces: the generation of wealth they serve and the geographic culture they emerge from. As Asian wealth matures and European dynasties continue, a critical question arises: How do the investment strategies and governance models of these families diverge, and why? Is the preference for internal family control in Asia versus external professional management in Europe a matter of legacy age, or are deeper cultural currents at play? This fireside chat will dissect these compelling questions, examining the potential correlation between a family’s generational stage and its chosen path for stewardship – looking both at data as well as real-life examples and anecdotes. Join us to delve into the nuanced realities of managing family wealth across continents and generations.
